Nature Walk on the Reserve

Join reserve naturalists on an easy stroll through the UC Merced Vernal Pools and Grassland Reserve to observe plants, mammals, birds, and other animal life. The 6,500 acre Reserve is right next to campus. Vernal pools flowers have just started to bloom! Coyotes and brush rabbits are often seen. A golden eagle may even be spotted. Bring a day pack with a water bottle, camera, binoculars, and a hat. Meet at 9:00am sharp at the entrance gate on Rancher's Road, 50 yards north of the Student Services Building. The walk will last approximately 2 hours. No fee. Limited to 20, but a reservation is required. Open to all.
